i've been unreasonably busy lately.
trying to plan a wedding, trying to stay un-freaked out about work stress, dealing with finance issues. crazy.
um. well, let's see what there is to tell.
okay, i knew that catering was going to cost a lot so i tried to brace myself but it was still hard to comprehend figures of more than $5,000 just for food. and i'm talking simple, afternoon hors'doeuvre, people. not a sit down dinner. i totally spelled that wrong, i know.
one of our interns left the week before last. it has been rough adjusting to one less person sharing the editorial load. last wednesday was especially rough because our editorial clerk is off on wednesdays so i have to cover her duties (typing in obits, announcements, columns, etc) as well as my own. since our intern started just a few weeks after i did, i had someone to help with those things. tomorrow should be interesting. i will seriously have to plan out my day and stick to schedule to get everything done on time.
i got to meet Jett Williams, daughter of Hank Williams Sr. She was very nice, down to earth, just a good ole' cowgirl. She played a concert saturday night. i was on the schedule so i got to go for a bit to take photos.
today, i went to a birthday party for a woman who just turned 101, i attended a dedication for a new helicopter pad at a small community hospital (and got rained on in the process) and covered a church whose steeple got hit by lightning.
friday, i'm told, i will be attending a reporting workshop here in montgomery. which is very cool because i can sleep in and most likely won't have to go to the office at all since the workshop gets out around 4 p.m. rock.
i'm enjoying mike being back in montgomery. now i get to see him everyday. it has been kind of strange working him back into my evening routine (before, i talked to him about 20 minutes on the phone each evening while he was on his dinner break) but of course, i can't complain because he is so much closer now.
my sister goes to college on saturday. i'm sad she will be moving away and leaving me here all alone. just me and zoe now.
mr. t is on conan o'brien now, doing "the year 2000". he is so trying not to laugh.
i must sleep now.
be well.

i am working at a newspaper now. it wasn't something i ever thought about doing but it has been good experience and sometimes even fun! definitely never boring. what have you been up to? are you still doing school? i"m such a nerd, but i would love to go back to school someday.
anyway, thank you for the sweet message. we just moved my sister into her dorm room at alabama next weekend and it was like taking a trip back to our freshman year and living in that wonderful place called bacot... haha.
